Translation: "Happy New Year... Elder Brother."

<sub>Seven years... seven years ago, in the fourth month of the Rune-Midgard's calendar, Lumeria had kissed her brother's cheeks for the last time, bidding him a tearful farewell as he saddled his steed to enter a new war on the other side of the continent. He was confident, and his piercing emerald-green eyes secretly burned with fervor as he flew his falcon into the sky ahead of him.

And it was there, in that wasteland far from home, where he would remain for eternity.

As if carved into history of the seasons, it always snows in Rune-Midgard during the winter months. Lumeria visits her brother's empty grave every New Year's Eve to celebrate the coming of a new beginning with him -- frozen in time -- by her side.

Entry for New Year's contest. Yes, you might ask "WHY SO SRS?" since it's supposed to be a New Year's picture, but there's a story behind my RO character, and I'll leave it at that.

Original illustration layout was a little different, but since on dA I cannot upload such a huge picture for fear of freezing browsers, I decided to edit some of the content by placing the text in a lower area.

I have nothing new to update... actually I'll have one more update on January 30, so until then, peace out.
