EDIT: aside from one which was drawn (I think), the other ones are all screen shots? Come on DA, I know that they're good and everything, but I honestly think you should also judge at how much effort the artists put into their work
I'm not saying original art is much better, I'm just saying I could have taken a scene from the movie and pasted it to the template. 2 minutes. Whereas I spent over 8 hours on my entry.
Hopefully they'll consider that more next time. Congratulations to the winners nonetheless.

Ponyo reminds me of Mei from Totoro
I entered. Enough said.
I need the $500 for my living expenses.About this illustration: Characters are all drawn from scratch, I tried to copy Miyazaki's style, but... I owe him an apology for screwing it up LOL
Title and words were rewritten by me.
everyone, I mean EVERYONE had some sort of WATER theme.
I know the title of the contest is "Make A Splash," but I decided to omit the "underwater world" sort of thing everyone else was going for.
.... I hope I made the right choice. Hey, the underwater theme can go to the other banners right?
... right? ;____;
Originally I had drawn Ponyo in her middle form, where she was kind of like a frog... but I asked my friends and they all preferred Ponyo as her final form.
I personally still like Ponyo when she's a frog though LOL
